I set out to explore how sequential art can be a medium of change. Through a graphic novel I have presented a world where care for the body via medicine is the number one priority rather than a vehicle for financial gain and profit.  Through this art work I want to analyze superficial treatments that address symptoms rather than the causes of illnesses and diseases through a critical lens. 

I would like to explore the ethics of “care” within public policy to understand the intentions behind westernized medicine and healing practices. 

Through my graphic novel, I have created and illustrated a world with a more holistic approach to life where natural and traditional medicines continue to be the standard. My graphic novel critiques westernized modern approaches to medicine and care and contradicts the demonization of holistic healing otherwise known as the “witch hunt” through writing, imagery and storytelling.

Addiction preys on Isolation and we are isolated now more than ever. With Daunting pharmaceutical companies slowly unveiling their true intentions and the uncertainty of the world today, there is only one thing that we can control as a people. That one thing is our ability to spread awareness of healthier more regenerative holistic healing options and less harmful addiction treatment methods.
